Clarendon County Administration issued the following announcement on July 12.
Over 20 Clarendon County Government employees signed up for the Clarendon Government rendition of the Biggest Loser Challenge, a weight-loss program.
The challenge was a 8-week program that included a nutrition and exercise plan. Employees were split into two teams of Red and Blue to accomplish their goals. Both teams lost a total of 300 lbs. Team winners for the Red team and overall was Col. Shelton Hughes and for the Blue team was Deputy Gabe Blackwell. The challenge started on May 13th and ended July 8th. On Friday, participants were rewarded with a congratulatory luncheon and gifts bags for their participation. HR director and organizer of the challenge, Linda Lemon, encouraged everyone to have a plan and find something that works. Clarendon employees said they will continue to make it a lifestyle change.
