Dr. Cornelius B. Leach
Dr. Leach joined the Morris College family in a full-time capacity in August of 2022 when he was hired as the Chairperson of the Division of Education. Since that time Dr. Leach has dedicated himself to strengthening the curriculum and instruction, elevating faculty engagement, and doing all possible for students to succeed. One major example of late has been his ability to increase our Call Me Mister members and obtain $90K funding through Life2 grant which will assist in retaining, reclaiming, and developing our Misters.
The picture shows Dr. Leach and two of Misters at the S.C. Alliance of Black School Educators (SCABSE).
Dr. Leach served as the assistant superintendent in Sumter School District 17, having also served as assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in that district. He began his career in education as an elementary teacher in Orangeburg District 5.
