Meet Ron Davis!
Ron Davis is now in his 40th year at Sumter Bible Church and Sumter Christian School, having arrived in 1983 when he began teaching sixth grade. He became the assistant pastor and school administrator 7 years later in 1990. Then in 2009 he was called as pastor of Sumter Bible Church. Pastor Davis received a B.S. degree in Bible from Liberty Baptist College in Lynchburg, Virginia. He then earned a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Liberty Baptist Seminary (now Liberty University). Pastor Davis was a pastor for three years in Powhatan, Virginia before coming to Sumter. He was born and reared in nearby Bishopville, SC. His wife Lucy, the administrative supervisor at Sumter Christian School, has served at the school for forty years with him. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
