Thanks to The Sumter Item for highlighting our Engineering Design Technology program in this article!

CCTC Engineering Design Technology students Alyssa Law and Katie McMullen were part of a collaboration with Alice Drive Middle School's (ADMS) STEM team on a project with Continental Tire. The project was to design and 3-D print a barcode reference tool that technicians would later use to measure the barcode location on tires. As a result of this community project and Law and McMullen's help, ADMS students made 500 gauges for Continental Tire. This STEM Community Project won the 2022 Student-Led Project NSTEM Champion Award from the National STEM Honor Society.
