Central Carolina Technical College issued the following announcement on April 1.
CCTC was selected as one of five South Carolina technical colleges to receive a $1.6 million grant designed to strengthen existing dual enrollment programs. Current dual enrollment programs focus on students who typically intend to transfer to a four-year university. With Career Technical Education (CTE) dual enrollment, students can explore areas like welding, mechatronics or machine tool with a focus on certificates and career training.
CCTC will provide high school students with hands-on academic, technical and workplace experiences, integrating both high school and college coursework. Students will participate in a range of workplace opportunities that include mentoring, site visits and paid internships — all designed to support students’ academic and professional growth.
