Central Carolina Technical College: CCTC Wins Four Gold National Advertising Awards

Central Carolina Technical College issued the following announcement on March 8.

Central Carolina Technical College was recently named a winner in the 37th Annual Educational Advertising (EduAD) Awards.

The Educational Advertising Awards is the largest, oldest and most respected educational advertising awards competition in the country. Judges for the EduAD Awards consisted of a national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals. Entries were received from colleges, universities and secondary schools across the country.

The CCTC Marketing and Communications Department received four Gold Awards one Silver Award and one Merit Award for the following:

  • Gold: South Carolina Environmental Training Center Catalog, No-Cost Tuition Enrollment Campaign, Enrollment Commercial and COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Marketing Program
  • Silver: Best of Sumter Magazine Advertisement
  • Merit: Institutional Viewbook
“Marketing plays a critical role in making sure potential students see CCTC as their first-choice destination for college, says Nicole Ouellette, director of Marketing and Communications. “The CCTC Marketing and Communications team is incredibly proud to receive each of these awards as they represent the creative and professional work that we enjoy doing.”

More than 2,000 entries were received from over 1000 colleges, universities and secondary schools from all 50 states and several foreign countries. Sixteen institutions were recognized by the judges as ‘Best of Show’ winners. Gold awards were granted to 410 institutions, silver awards were awarded to 256 institutions and bronze awards were granted to 162 institutions.

CCTC competed against four-year institutions and other smaller colleges across the country including Clemson University, Auburn University, Princeton University and Michigan State.

In December 2021, the department was named a winner in the 9th Annual Educational Digital Marketing (EDMA) Awards, which recognizes the best educational websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media. In that competition, the department received three Gold Awards and three Silver Awards for the following:

  • Gold: College Website Directory, CCTC Website Update and a Digital Display Ad for Fall Enrollment 2021
  • Silver: Online Digital Display Ad, Employed Titans Social Media Campaign, Fall Enrollment Digital Marquee Message
