Clemson University recently issued the following announcement.
Canning is a fun and important method of food preservation when appropriately practiced. Safe canning processes involve placing foods in jars and heating them to a temperature that destroys organisms that can cause food to spoil or even be a health hazard. Participants will learn to make jams, jellies, and soft spreads safely utilizing current USDA recommended techniques for preserving foods for home use. *A maximum of 10 participants will be allowed
Participants will receive:
• Resource Document
• Printed materials
• Peach Jam prepared in class
