City of Sumter recently issued the following announcement.

The Sumter Farmers Market offers local area farmers, artisans, bakers, food trucks, and other vendors without a storefront, a venue to sell their products directly to the consumer. Our produce farmers grow a minimum of 75-80% of what they sell, and our livestock farmers humanely raise their animals on pasture with no antibiotics or added growth hormones.
Since the farmers market began with just a handful of vendors, it has grown to include 25+ vendors from 8 counties. The market prides itself on offering a variety of Certified South Carolina fresh fruits and vegetables, pasture raised meats, milk, eggs, butter, homemade breads, cakes, pies, cookies, soaps, artisanal craft items, and unique food truck offerings from our diverse group of vendors.
