City of Sumter issued the following announcement on September 10.
Savannah Bethea, 2021 Miss South Carolina Earth and candidate for Miss Earth USA, is hosting a litter clean up event in Sumter this Saturday, September 11.
Savannah’s group will be meeting at Wilson Hall School then heading out to McCrays Mill Road to pick up litter. If you would like to join her Clean Up Crew, please meet them at the school at 1:30 to get your safety gear and get started.
