Sumter School District issued the following announcement on August 14.
Letters have been emailed to parents who applied for virtual learning by the first deadline, which was August 6, 2021. The letters indicate whether applications were approved or not approved. Please follow the instructions stated in the letter.
The application window for the Sumter School District Virtual Academy will reopen Monday, August 16, 2021, at 8 AM. This window will be opened until August 30, 2021, or until all availability is filled. The application will be posted on our website at sumterschools.net under the back to school tab, or click on the Virtual Academy link on the home page. The virtual academy is an option for students in Grades six through twelve who may have documented medical conditions. Students should report to school in person until they are approved to attend the virtual academy.
