South Carolina State women’s tennis team finished with a 1-3 record in league play during the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Tennis Roundup, according to an April 1 announcement.

The results leave South Carolina State with an overall record of 2-8 and a conference record of 1-3. The team’s only win came against Coppin State, where they posted a score of 6-1. They dropped matches to Delaware State, Morgan State, and Howard, each by a score of 2-5.

The MEAC Roundup serves as an important opportunity for teams to compete within the conference and improve their standings ahead of postseason play. For South Carolina State, these results highlight both challenges and opportunities as they continue through their schedule.

Looking ahead, South Carolina State will resume league play on Saturday, April 4 against Norfolk State at the Tennis Center. The match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.

South Carolina State University competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I level across fourteen sports. All teams participate in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference except for women’s soccer.
