South Carolina State University’s women’s basketball team will conclude its regular season with a game against North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
The Lady Bulldogs currently hold a record of 5-23 overall and 2-11 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Their opponent, North Carolina Central, has an overall record of 8-19 and is 4-9 in conference play.
South Carolina State is seeking to end a ten-game losing streak after their recent defeat by Maryland Eastern Shore, where they lost 74-33. In that game, a reserve player led the team with 16 points. North Carolina Central also enters the matchup following a loss; they were defeated by Delaware State 75-66. In that contest, Natalie Jasper scored 14 points and Tierney Coleman added 13 for NCCU.
After this game, South Carolina State will participate in the MEAC Basketball Tournament from March 11 to March 14 at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia.
South Carolina State University competes at the NCAA Division I level and fields teams in fourteen sports, including both men’s and women’s basketball. Most of these teams compete within the MEAC.
