The South Carolina State softball team lost to the University of South Carolina on April 28 in a game played at Carolina Softball Stadium. The final score was 9-1 in favor of the Gamecocks.

This result puts South Carolina State’s overall record at 20 wins and 19 losses, while the University of South Carolina improves to a record of 30 wins and 22 losses. During the game, South Carolina State recorded six hits from twenty-four at bats and had eleven strikeouts.
