South Carolina State men’s tennis to play Youngstown State on Friday

South Carolina State University’s men’s tennis team is set to face Youngstown State on Friday, March 5, at the Tennis Center in Orangeburg. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs currently hold a record of 1-6. Their most recent match was a 0-4 loss against nationally ranked Wake Forest on March 1 in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Youngstown State arrives with a strong record of 9-1 and is riding an eight-game winning streak after defeating The Citadel 4-2.

After Friday’s contest, South Carolina State will play George Mason on Thursday, March 12, in Hilton Head, South Carolina. That match is set for noon.

“South Carolina State University is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university currently fields teams in 14 sports: women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor track & field, softball, men’s and women’s outdoor track and field, women’s soccer and football with all teams competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), except for women’s soccer,” according to the university.
