The South Carolina State men’s basketball team will be recognized on April 11 for winning the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Regular Season Title. The ceremony will take place at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium|Willie Jeffries Field before the Annual Garnet & Blue Spring Game, starting at 12:45 p.m.

This event marks the first time since their historic turnaround that the entire Bulldogs team will return to campus for a special recognition. The players and coaching staff will receive their championship rings during a pregame ceremony.

The Bulldogs ended a 22-year drought by finishing with a 20-13 overall record and capturing the regular season crown. Several players received All-MEAC honors, and the head coach was named Coach of the Year in recognition of their achievements.

South Carolina State University is an NCAA Division I institution that fields teams in 14 sports, including men’s and women’s basketball, football, softball, and others. Most teams compete in the MEAC conference except for women’s soccer.
