The South Carolina State Bulldogs men’s tennis team secured the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) regular season title with a 7-0 victory over North Carolina Central on April 6 at Cary Tennis Park in Durham, North Carolina.
This win marks the sixth consecutive regular season crown for the Bulldogs, who are led by head coach Hardeep Judge. The team now enters the 2026 MEAC Men’s Tennis Tournament as the top seed, boasting an overall record of 10-7 and a perfect conference record of 5-0.
During Monday’s match, South Carolina State dominated both doubles and singles play. The Bulldogs claimed victories at all three doubles positions to secure the opening point. In singles competition, they swept all six matches against North Carolina Central opponents to complete a shutout win.
According to match notes, individual highlights included Andril Borodatiuk’s straight-set win at No. 4 singles and tiebreak victories in two of the doubles contests. The order of finish saw doubles matches completed first, followed by singles play that lasted just over two hours.
South Carolina State University competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I level and fields teams in fourteen sports within the MEAC conference except for women’s soccer. The university offers programs including volleyball, cross country, basketball, indoor and outdoor track & field, softball, soccer, football, and both men’s and women’s tennis.
With this latest accomplishment under Coach Judge’s leadership, South Carolina State continues its strong presence in collegiate tennis as it prepares for postseason tournament play.
