On Saturday, Feb. 1, former Orangeburg Preparatory School standout Payton Schurlknight’s current college team, the Lander Bearcats, lost 10-5 in their NCAA Division II softball game against the Wingate Bulldogs.

The game took place at Doug Spears Field. This was their second matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Bearcats’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 2 p.m. at Haines & Carolyn Hill Stadium against North Georgia Nighthawks.
