The NCAA announced on April 27 that the qualifiers for the 2026 Division I men’s tennis championship will be revealed during a live stream at 4 p.m. The first round of play is set to begin on Friday, May 1, with the championship match scheduled for Sunday, May 17 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Georgia.

This annual tournament features a single-elimination format with a field of 64 teams. According to the NCAA, first and second round matches will take place at no fewer than sixteen regional sites, each hosting four teams. Of these teams, twenty-seven conference champions receive automatic bids while thirty-seven additional teams are selected as at-large entries.

The full schedule includes super regionals on May 8 or May 9, quarterfinals on May 14, and semifinals on May 16. All rounds after regionals will be played at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

South Carolina State recently captured their twenty-first overall Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Tennis Championship title. With this victory, South Carolina State secured MEAC’s automatic qualification spot in the upcoming NCAA tournament.

Observers expect strong competition as programs from across the country vie for this year’s national title.
